  • Must meet all three criteria to receive a quality premium , with no evidence of antibiotics, added water, odor or sediment.
  • PLC & PIC will be tested 4 times per month. Highest test will be discarded ; the simple average of remaining tests will be used as the quality count for the month.
  • SCC is simple monthly average, excluding the official test.

    DFA field staff will assist members to resolve quality issues; however, members with chronic milk quality deductions are subject suspension of their DFA marketing agreement.

    Member is solely responsible for all loss or damage for milk being rejected by a manufacturing facility due to failure to meet quality conditions and standards, including the cost of any loss in milk value , additional hauling and disposal of milk. Members would not be eligible for any premiums for the month beginning with the second and including any subsequent rejected loads in a 12-month period.
